This week, meet two leaders who build in the tech space. But neither one is betting on the technology. They’re betting on humans.
This is truly the WW vibe - going big on innovation and future-forward thinking, but keeping humanity and personal connection at the core of what we do. It’s also why you’ll see a special note (scroll down) about WW announcing our presence at the top developer conference - from WeAreDevelopers - next month.
How are you blending tech and humanity? We’d love to hear from you.

"No one knows you better than you know yourself. Don't let other people's ideas define what is possible for you."
— Maya Ackerman, PhD, CEO & Co-Founder, WaveAI
She didn't find the pathway. She built it. From a small city in Bosnia and Herzegovina — not a tech hub, not a well-resourced location — Dragana founded Mentora Plus and runs KiberOne, a cyberschool teaching kids the digital skills their circumstances weren't going to hand them. She's a Google Women Techmakers ambassador amplifying women from the Balkans, because, as she puts it, "visibility can change what's possible."
She builds the machines — and still bets on us. Maya is CEO and co-founder of WaveAI, the team behind LyricStudio, an AI songwriting assistant used by millions. She's also an AI professor at Santa Clara and author of Creative Machines. Her question: what if we invested in human intelligence as boldly as we invest in AI's?

💜 That One Thing: Bringing WW Vibes to the Top Conference for Developers
WeAreDevelopers spent a decade in Europe building a conference that actually reflects its developer community: women on the stages and in seats, not as an afterthought. Now they're bringing this can’t-miss event to the US, and they asked us to help set that tone from day one.
On the morning of September 24th, we’re hosting a facilitated Coffee & Conversation session at WeAreDevelopers World Congress North America (Sep 23-25 in San José, CA). And our space can home base for you or your eng leaders. Grab a cup of coffee, connect with the women leading tech and engineering teams in the age of AI, and start your day with people worth knowing.
You'll find WW cofounder Leslie Greenwood there along with Naida Vikalo, COO at WeAreDevelopers (and a WW executive member).
The best part? We have tickets to share:
Complimentary passes (limited — first come, first served)
Discounted rates for your engineering and developer teams
Special access for Director and VP+ women leaders
Want one — or want to know more about what we're doing there? Reply to this email or email Leslie directly.
