Wellness is a $6.8 trillion industry that shapes how we sleep, eat, heal, and hold ourselves together. Can you name a woman leading at a health and wellness company?
This past month, we put together a series: Women Defining Wellness with the support of our longtime partner, Booth. Together, we shone the spotlight on 24+ leaders shaping health and wellness at companies around the world. From mental health to hospitals to supplements, they're building products, running companies, and setting the standard for what care looks like now. Some started companies because they saw a gap nobody was filling. Some lived through heartache and thought: I can do something about that.
And we think everyone should know their names.

Too many good ideas die in the gap between design and delivery. Justine is VP/GM of Employer Solutions at Lyra Health, where she owns the roadmap, vision, and commercial strategy for new solutions across the employer business — and leads the team accountable for whether any of it actually lands. Her focus is on benefits that meet employees' unmet mental health needs, and on what it takes to turn a good idea into something people can use. Leaders who can think big and make things real are, in her view, badly undervalued. Her advice to anyone early on: "If you feel scared but excited, listen to that signal."
Compliance is how a company behaves when nobody's checking. Samia is Chief Compliance Officer at AccentCare, where she runs the enterprise-wide compliance program for a home health and hospice organization caring for patients and their chosen families. She's a lawyer by training with a pragmatic approach to governance, and she's focused on how healthcare uses AI responsibly — making clinicians' work faster without losing the human judgment and compassion the job actually requires. Her advice to anyone building a career in a specialist function: "It's not enough to be an expert in your field. You need to make sure your advice will be relevant to your specific environment."
An experienced leader and a beginner at the same time. Bridget is Chief Revenue Officer at PatientNow, with 20+ years scaling revenue orgs from early-stage disruptors to global brands. She writes openly about the messy middle of leadership — specifically what happens when the playbook that built your career stops working. Her take on AI: it's rewriting how we sell, lead, and hire fast enough that she's questioning things she's known for two decades, and she finds that humbling and exciting in equal measure. Her advice for anyone waiting to feel ready: "Courage is a muscle. Do it scared. Go create the evidence."
Don’t you dare ask when she plans to retire. Celine is CEO of Juice Plus Wellness, with 40+ years in direct selling, two books, and a board seat at Direct Selling Australia behind her. Her answer to the retirement question became Second Half Women on FIRE — a podcast and platform built to take on workplace ageism and hand women over 55 their purpose, power, and money back. She's spent her career building flexible work for women running businesses from their kitchen tables, and she's not done. Her line: "The first half of life is your apprenticeship; the second half is where you light life up."

💜 That One Thing: Who to call when you’re building out a team…
We’ll be honest: This series exists because our partner Booth decided that the women leaders in health and wellness deserved the SPOTLIGHT. So let’s take a moment to spotlight what Booth does so very well:
Booth is a certified B Corp that helps companies build their talent and teams… without giving up culture, quality, or control in the process. No more added overhead. World-class talent from more than 120 countries. AI-augmented teams when you need it.
If you've ever grown a team fast and watched something you cared about get lost in the scramble, that's the problem they're built for. Plus, we can tell you: they’re a top-notch company to work with, with leaders you’ll be proud to know. (Want a personal intro, we can make that happen…)
